Do you have some more information on the wheels and tires? Which brand and dimension is it? I have a similar bike that needs new wheels and your combo is just what I'm looking for.

The rims/hoops are from a Honda GL1000. They run the same 19f 17r as the Cb750 k7 & k8 but they are aluminum and over 1lb lighter per rim than the steel k7 & 8. They are also stiffer. The hubs are the k7 hubs. They pretty much lace right up with standard spokes.

The tires are Avon Road riders

Thanks for the answer. I'm going for aluminum rims myself, after reading about some guys putting a 18" rim at the rear, I got a bit confused. I guess it easier to find tires, but then it gets harder to find the right spoke length. The Avons looks great, I've heard a lot good about them!

Great job on the cafe.

Did you make any progress on your jetting?  Are you doing any mods over the winter?

I still have more tweaking to do on my jetting.  I ordered some air jets but the mail man missed my mail slot so someone else has them and it has been two months.  I will have to reorder them so I can get a head start this spring.  Once I get my air jets I will be all set to finally nail down the jetting on my CRs.

Maybe this summer we can meet up for a ride.....

The first shot shows how a bent section of sheel metal goes under the factory seat cross member and is fastened with jack nuts and c/s screws.

the second photo shows my battery/electrical pan. The olty in the center/rear screw goes through a tab welded on the frame and threads into a portion of the tail itself. It's not quick release by any means; but three screws and the tail section is off revealing the battery and electrical components.




maybe not the best way, but the best i can come up with with limited time,money, and tools.

I'm curious to know what the 4 digit number on the frame cross member represents.  My K7 is 2224.  Was that something unique to K7's or they all have that?
