Can you let us "low techies" know your thoughts on the charts above?
I'm sitting in the bleachers also Steve.
In the first picture we are looking for the second picture. (pic title "all runs", "sample count", "target")
As you can see with this chip blue is lean, red is rich and yellow is good. The first picture is a combination of all log files taken. Eight (
in total. (all runs, mostly lean)
Took me about an hour to swap chips this morning. Next is to get the same sample count as before. Highway blast, cruise and in town. After that I send all log files across the pond and all data is combined for a new chip. Yes, the bike will be torn down again to replace the chip.
The sample count in the bottom of the first picture reads how long I was in a certain throttle position thus the more cells I fill the better it is. This is why I need to be in as many different positions as possible.
We did not change the trim pot setting. (last picture) Adjusting the trim pot would void all the previous log files as this would change the fueling. The trim will be adjusted when the new chip arrives with a different map and that should be the last time trimming the pot.
Hope this clears things up for you. I'm confused now.
