« on: August 12, 2014, 06:05:25 AM »
If you're looking to pick up "My CB750 Book", now's a good time as for the next 2 days it's 25% off at:
http://www.lulu.com/shop/mark-paris/my-cb750-book-hardcover-edition/hardcover/product-16107855.html
Use the code "TWODAY25" at checkout.
I have it... it's a great resource.

This book is on my list too!
I have asked Lulu about shipping to Sweden. There is a risk that the shipping cost is very high, upon that additional + 30% (Vat + customs).....  Some eBay sellers have very high shipping costs making it impossible to order while others have OK alternatives.
You in US can get everything for much less than here :-[

@PeWe, there is a dutch Lulu community where i tried to order with the sales code, and it didn't work, so i sent a question about that to their helpdesk.
I don't think they'll agree to give the discount here in Europe, but if they do it might be applicable for you? Holland is much closer than the USA. I'll let you know what happens ;D

Yes, that's good. Discount or not, the total can be better anyway without expensive shipping+ customs + Vat on top of that.
Holland is within EU which means no additional VAT and customs for us in Sweden, only Dutch +20% as CMSNL adds on their bills.
I guess that shipping can be 12-20 Euro.

It's time to pay for the book when Hondaman has given us so much good information free of charge on this forum.

Shipping cost is strange and something very important to check before order when it differs a lot.
I can order 20L oil from Germany and pay only 20 Euro for shipping.  More than 20Kg in a rather big box.
A heavy tent from UK, large package and about 45kg, pay about 40-45 pounds for shipping. Caclulator needed for compare prices :)

Ship something in Sweden or out from it cost several times more. Shipping cost on eBay differs a lot. Some want $40-45 US for a small package like a ignition plate while others can do it for $17US.....

I have sometimes bought a more expensive part/seller due to the much lower shipping cost making total less expensive.

You'll have to ask Hondaman about an autograph... I just noticed the sale and thought I'd pay it forward as he has been so helpful to us all here.

FYI, I got an email this morning that the sale has been extended... for how long is anyone's guess.

I asked him if he had books home when I wanted a signed copy. But no one available. We can ask for an extra page to be added into the book if we send shipping and handling costs? :)

@ PeWe,
I got a mail from Lulu support, that code indeed is only valid in the States, BUT they sent me a special code that should work here (special treatment, yeah ;D )
Shall we do it the easy way, in that I order 2 copies, and send one through to Sweden?
Normal price here is €69,07, with a 25% reduction that would make just over €50, and with shipping something like €64 or 65....
I'll pm you for details.
