(WANTED TO BUY) 1978 CB750 FLOAT VALVE CLIP
« on: August 16, 2014, 07:22:13 AM »
Hello Guys,
I'm new to the forum and I don't know where to post this - part needed wanted to buy.

I couldn't find a source.  I see valves and clips but not just the clip.  So I wondering if someone had a couple (qty2) used clips sitting that they could stuff in an envelope.

I just need two CLIPs ... it clips onto the float valve and then to the float so that the valve doesn't pop out when the fuel level is way low.  I think thats what it does.

Thanks

Not sold as a separate item.
Just buy new float valves.  By the looks of the rubber tips, it's probably a good idea.
But...if you absolutely have to use those, I probably have a few I could send you....

Hello Flybox ...
I know what you're saying but ya see ... this thing has other issues (I'm sure) and before I spring for something like a new float valve and then maybe spend more money to replace a used but serviceable item like the drive chain or brake pads ... tires of course all the filters ... and whatnot ... well, I'd just like to get it to go vroom vroom vroom a little bit.  If I didn't loose those two clips I could do that.  Then at that point, it would make sense to spend 500 bucks on it to make it a reliable and roadworthy ride.

I'll try to figure out how to send you a private mssg with my email address.

Thanks
Tim
