New kid w/ a 77 CB550
« on: August 13, 2014, 08:23:08 PM »
Hows it going everyone?

I've been lurking around the forums for awhile and finally decided to register. I recently purchased a 77 CB550 in pretty rough condition, as someone with not a lot of experience with motorcycle repair/maintenance the project is pretty overwhelming. I could really use some help with an engine rebuild (I have the kit), anyone interested or around my area? (I'm in Oakland, CA).

I will be tracking all the progress of the bike on the forums so look out for me soon...

Welcome and let's start off by seeing pics of it to see how rough it is before you actually open up the motor.  Download the manual in the FAQ section
