Nope. Nevermind... I had to plug the battery in. Switching the blue and yellow cables by the air box gives spark to 2/3.

With the new wires are you able to out a spare spark plug in caps 2 and 3 to confirm you have spark on those? May seem miniscule but are the caps on all the way?

Ok so we have narrowed it down to the one coil or possibly the one side of the dyna. Can you take a pic of the wires from the coils? The black and yellow and blue and black if I recall correctly?

I'll take a picture. With wires reversed... I get a spark from 2/3/4 when turning the ignition to off.

Hmm. I'm more of a person who will test avenues to fix and I do not really know how to test the proper way. I am always a plug and play type to find a fix.

So if you have the wires hooked up properly under the coils, correct cylinder for each spark plug wire only cylinder 1 and 4 fire?

But if you swap the blue and yellow wires under the airbox then 2 and 3 fire? Is this correct?

I get spark from 1/2/3/4 when turning the bike off. I get spark only from 1/4 when pushing ignition switch. This is with all wires in it's correct place.

Hey cal I know the dyna comes with the 2 red wires. Is it possible one of them came lose from there power source?

Lion where is the red wire connected? I may be off when I said there are 2 red wires but I think that is when not using the long red wire supplied in the box when new.

Can someone give me some instruction on how to check voltage on my coils the correct way and how to probably check resistance on my plug caps? I have a multimeter.

Weird now cause I'm in the same boat for my 750. Got a new harness and key ignition and still no power. I will look for a thread identifying how to check electrical and post here.

OK guys...
I have 12 volts going in to my 2/3 coil. I also replaced the coil to make sure and I got new spark caps. Nothing has changed. The Dyna S has 2 red wires, a black wire, and a white wire. The black wire is the blue and the white wire is the yellow. The red wires lead to the same place and become the black and white wires.
When I switch the yellow and blue leads... and the blue wire is going into the 2/3 coil...the 2/3 coil produces a spark. When I switch the same wires but at the Dyna S location, I get the same result. The yellow wire seems to be the issue here. However... when I turn the bike key to the off position... all 4 spark plugs get a spark.

Question: Both coils are indeed powering up but it's the yellow wire that is failing to tell the 2/3 coil to fire. Does this mean that my Dyna S is bad?

What do I do? What do I check?

Read the last paragraph of this .pdf. I am pretty sure that it's the Dyna S that is the issue.
