Use the site CMSNL to try to determine what you have and may not have in place. It is easy to navigate and has expanded diagrams for each assembly. It can help with the naming and function because it doesn't just look like crusty old electrical parts anymore

easiest way to fix up a single fuse system is to do this.

I just did that on my 750, except with the 3 fuse setup. Dave, do you notice better
performance of electrical components since that modification? I did on my bike.

the main thing on all of the electrical system on anything is to have all the connections what and where ever they are clean and tight,if you've noticed an improvement from just doing a fuse repair have a look at the entire loom,all the connectors must be clean and tight,dissemble the gang plugs and be sure they are clean where you cant see, I never noticed any improvement apart from the fact that most petrol stations don't even carry glass tube fuses anymore?i always have a couple on board anyway plus ive never liked a metal cased fuse holder it just seems wrong?mine was corroded so I just pissed it off,too easy!

K so I got my panel in and it seems all the wiring is ok EXCEPT the fuse is cut off.. I'm sure it's not hard to wire it up to this but can someone advise me ?

Rotate it 180 degrees so the picture shows the left side on the "right". Then, the orientation will be the same as the diagram I sent you. That should help you locate the fuse from the top connector as is shown.

So here's your wiring diagram. Notice the single fuse is wires into the RED line from the top connector and runs to the starter switch beside the YELLOW/RED and the BLACK. You need a fuse holder to install a stock glass fuse (15A) or an inline blade type (you can get that at the local auto parts store). Either way, solder the connector and cover with shrink wrap for a weather tight connection.

While that approach of connecting a fuse can work, it's not recommended for a permanent solution. You need to test the electrical? Fine. But please but an inline blade fuse holder and solder that in.
