mmm.... it's definetely the bike from motociclsmo d'epoca's feature from a few years ago, I posted about it at the time.

kind of surprised that it's on public sale as according to that feature, the bike was a loan to Samoto dealership in Rome & Murelli (guy with the berret in the picture) who was the only western race mechanic to work on the NR500 back at the time. One of the guys who worked on that story told me honda expected to to have that bike back in japan one day... Wonder if the museum guys know about this.

strangely i was looking at a krauser 500 engine and a pile of reynolds tubing in the back of my garage last week and thought the same !
just need a right arm and im away
