Hello all a good friend is moving and is giving me this bike. Does anyone have any good or bad experiences with this bike. I don't like these type of sports bikes but for free figured why not check it out.

I had 98 6R and I liked alot. 30k in 3 years.(Had other bikes to ride too).  If you could find an early 90's VFR and try the seating postion to the 6e.  If the same, it should be a comfy ride.

My buddy has one similar to that. He likes it so much that when the engine needed rebuilt he had it rebuilt instead of buying a new bike (which would have been cheaper)

The bike was left out a few winters ago he said it ran a bit rough after that and parked been sitting for 3 years. I figure clean the carbs check the tank and fire it up see how it runs it is in really nice shape and low miles.

Great little bikes, not as sporty in stance as the crotch rockets but they go well , handle well and have a pretty good riding position, quite comfortable, reliable hard revving engines...

If You can't fix it with a hammer, You've got an electrical problem.

Thanks guys I usually pass up these type of bikes but for free will try it out. I don't think it will be a big investment for me to get it running but never know.
