CB750 F2 Super Sport (1977) Non Runner
« on: April 22, 2020, 01:56:23 AM »
Hi,

As per my intro I am just embarking on a project to get my late father-in-laws 1977 CB750 F2 Super Sport back on the road.

It has been stood for over 20 years (it still has the '99 tax disk mounted to the front forks!). It's been garaged for all that time so it's in general good condition with the obvious issues such as rust in the tank and gummed up carbs. She is a stunner though!

I've attached a picture of the bike 'as is' and I'll try an post on here each time another job is ticked off!

My outline plan is to get the engine running first, before starting to work on brakes, suspension and body work etc. First steps are to clean up the tank and the carbs, drain and replace fluids and filters etc, then new fuel and battery and see what happens!!! *** I have never restored an old bike before so please feel free to point out where/when I am going wrong! No need to be polite  ;D ***
