76 550F tank options
« on: September 02, 2014, 05:57:27 AM »
My fuel tank is pin holed and I am going to install some tank liner. Being a belt and braces type I want to have a spare tank in case it leaks again in the future. What options do I have? I have the 2 fuel outlet pet tap and most of the tanks I see have only the one outlet tap, and I would prefer not to have a rats nest of fuel pipe adapters. Is there a neat solution to installing a single fuel outlet tank or should I just wait until a proper tank comes up for sale?

You can purchase a new petcock with two fuel outlets. It's simple to swap out. They have aftermarket on eBay for a decent price.

AFAIK outlet threads are different between the two and one outlet petcocks. Don't know the sizing to be sure of getting correct fitting.
