I have 1977 cb550 f2 and have fitted the boots sold by David Sllver .
they are very very good indeed well made and very plyable , given the trouble ive had with my carbs and the
fact that ive removed the five times , the old boots would not have stood for that although they were only cracked
on the outside and did not leak air .
The pattern set ds sell is priced as a set ,this is not that clear, so i think they are good value.
with regard to the kestler carb kits sold i found these to be well made , except for the float bowl seals these seemed
a bit oversize to me (for my carbs this may differ for others ) and did not like getting petrol spilt on them but other
than that i am pleased with all the bits that came with the kit , although some instructions would have helped ie clip
position screw settings etc.
The last thing i would to know is how is the best way to remove the carb bank and refit them given the space it
took me a long time to refit the boots last and i had to soak them in very hot water ,to get them back in place
but this may be my fault how do you fit yours!!!!!! out there.
