Hello from St. Louis, MO! (1975 CB400F)
« on: September 02, 2014, 01:24:24 PM »
Hey there! I've been into bikes for a while, I'm mostly a Supermoto guy but I recently purchased a CB400F for a song since my girlfriend wanted to ride two-up and eventually learn to ride herself.

My XR650R doesn't have enough pegs for two people...

Oh well, only solution: buy another bike!

I've already started through the list of reliability-work necessary to fix all of the neglected items that our beloved Previous Owner seemed to overlook. Mostly old rubber to sort and things to clean. Unfortunately the bike has the dreaded Head Gasket Leak and sheared Cam Chain Tensioner bolt! Ugh!

I will probably make a more detailed thread in 'SOHC/4 Bikes' or 'Project Shop' soon.

Welcome! Nice 400/4. Looks to be in great shape other than what you mentioned. How's it run with the pods?

Thanks! Actually ran quite choppy with those pods. They were in poor shape and filthy, so I upgraded to what I knew best! Much better now.
