What the hell is this.. (frame)

Hey guys, new here for posting, been following for awhile, starting a build.
What is this? Lol couldn't find any info. It's a 75 500t frame.
looks like some sorta box on the rear right side by the right shock mount.

The seat lock it must be. Just a little box, two screws on top, nice hole on the side with a tiny spring attached.

Seat lock.

Well seat latch really, but you get the idea.  Should be a key lock facing outward about where the white line is.  ( I can only speak for the '77 CB550 - other models might/probably are different).

Yeah it's a broken seat lock and it looks the same as my 550. There should be the lock with a keyhole inside that big hole in the side. :)

Bend it around with a bfh then wrap some electrical tape over it.   :P
