This sounds interesting!! :)
Go to,
.www.ma.org.au/index.php?id=142

You can down load a pdf for our "Historic rules" from there

Is there something I should know about Brent? ;)

Cheers,
Brian

Well someone put a bug in my ear about going and I was just tiptoeing around the idea.

Thanks for the access to the rules. It may be that most places in the world didn't get the CB550 and most CB500's race in Post Classic 500 (351-500cc's, cut-off date of 1972). If there are no allowances for "like models" or such then it throws me in with the lions of Period 5 "Forgotten Era" 1973-82 and it looks like the class is 501-750cc's

I sent a request for more info so I'll sit tight until I hear.

You'll likely be in with the big dogs Brent.  My sidecar would have to run with Brian, unless I did a motor swap to a leaky Bit unit.

the aussie rules are much more open than yours brent . the mistake the british riders used to make was to take their british eligible bikes . now to be competitive the bikes are specifically built to aussie rules
the main difference [ in the big class ] is the use of 17 inch wheels , also the engines can be much larger capacity  than allowed over here .
i would strongly recommend you give it a go though !

I received a reply from the rules committee that the bike would be allowed in the P4 500 class so that is good news.

Unfortunately there are too many irons in the fire for this year. I offered to take Tyler to ride the bike but he wasn't available either. He was keen though and at this point we may plan for 2016....it just seems so far off. It's a bit of a shame because the bike would be ready to make the Nov. 10th shipping date, some years....not so much!

Anyway thanks all for the help and bear we'll try to make it, it would be very cool.

That's a shame.
I've got no doubt that the bike would be a front runner in P4.

Cheers,
Brian
