ideas?
« on: September 29, 2006, 10:14:47 AM »
so I'm picking up another 750 this weekend, sort of. its just a motor and frame

this is going to be a fun project

I'm thinking another cafe bike

since pretty much everything will have to be bought, what options do I have with other bikes parts, i.e. front end, wheels, stuff like that? the frame is already set up for a cx500 tank, which I think would look pretty sweet, but I'm not set on that idea

I've also worked on a 4 wheeler with a 750/4 in it and that looked like fun too

If I were to do another CB i would do a real low- hardtailed board/flat tracker kinda bike.
21'' front - 19'' rear - slammed to the ground - custom skinny tank - real tight bars - etc..

all good ideas. the brat bikes are in my mind awesome, but I'd rather do one with a parallel twin. I'm trying to talk my girlfriend into doing that with her bike.

I'm thinking something super low, definitely bobbed, I wanna keep the frame and swingarm, spoked wheels, hide the elecetrics and run a barrel oil tank. hopefully the ideas will come better when i have this blank canvas in front of me. this is already sounding like sonme of the older brat bikes.

but also that 4-wheeler looked sooooo sweet, and from what I can tell the motor just bolted in, didn't look like there were any modifications done
