Build or Part Out…? CB400F
« on: September 15, 2014, 03:05:18 PM »
Folks - I have two 400F projects, a 76 stock and a 75 cafe build. Not sure I have the desire and patience to do a proper OEM restoration so I'm in the midst of deciding to sell or build (then sell) the stock version. The cafe build is a keeper for sure.  My question for those with experience letting go of such a project is whether there is greater value in selling the whole project vs. parting out. Have an NOS tank/seat in their factory wrap/boxes. Frame (with title) and bits have been powder coated. Engine apart with beaded and cleared cases, good stock bores.. Most everything is there but for the labor… On the other hand, there appears to be a fair amount of labor involved in auctioning everything off.  Appreciate the wisdom of the forum.  Thanks!

I'll help sell that tank to me.  More than glad to take it off your hands.  Maybe the seat too.

You'll probably get more money parting it out, but it'll be a PITA.
