Hello everyone, I have a bit of a problem. I have a 77 cb750 with pd carbs and I disassembled them over a year ago then moved states in between that and now I'm finally back to try and put them together. I have them mocked up together again have a few pieces I couldn't figure out where they went after looking at diagrams and pictures. I figured someone on here would be able to help. Anyways here are the pieces I am trying figure out where there home is.

Ok those pictures helped a lot. So I got the flat washer and lock ring installed now where does the nylon washer go and hose is the smaller spring connected to each choke shaft?

the nylon bushing goes on a flange on the throttle cam.  basically between #2 and the thing all your throttle cables attach to.

Ok so this is where the nylon washer goes right?
And the spring when flipped around doesn't line up with the cable bracket. So I switched it to the first way I had it but then when turned one rotation and attached to the other shaft it looks like this, kinda bound up.

The spring looks correct to me. The carbs are not mounted to the plate yet leaving the extra spacing.

Got the carbs completely put together but now slides 3 and 4 do not slide in the bores hardly at all 1 and 2 slide like butter. Pulled 3&4 back to make sure everything was clean, all clean on slides and bores. Lubed them with lite oil and still hardly move in the bores. Anyone have any ideas why?

binding of the butterflies?  if they are installed, loosen them, then try again.  if the rods move that is your problem. 

That is why I mentioned always install the choke butterflies LAST.  otherwise you will encounter binding due to the attaching of the various mounting plates front and back.

Haris butterflies are not installed they are out. The actual slides themselves bind inside the carb bodies just number 3&4.The only thing I can come up with is because the back plate large silver one was a mother to get back on a lined up, and only reason I can think of for that is the original vacuum and fuel cross over hoses are cut exactly the length if not longer than the space between each carb.

Your binding obviously but the slides should not be.  You should also get them on the plate first before screwing in the slides to the throttle rod.  It sounds like you did it the reverse order.

The original lines are not longer than the space they fit.  Something is wrong.  I can't stress how some well framed, clear pictures from different views would probably give some experienced eyes exactly what your problem was very quickly. 

PS it is helpful if they aren't sideways.

I'll try and get some pictures tomorrow. Slides 1&2 like I said are super smooth in their carb bodies. 3&4 I had to pry out of the carbs and to get back in them they need to be tapped in and will not move in the carbs by hand.

Okay haven't been able to work on them till now, but got a couple pictures. It's still 3&4 slides that are binding. There is smooth travel for about 1/2" up the inside of the carb after that it binds until it won't go up anymore. Not sure if it can be seen in the photos but the gold bracket also does not line up with #3 carb and you can also see where the slides are binding on the inside.

Your spacing is all messed up.  Notice your front bracket isn't attached.  the spacing is messed up.  Get the spacing right first THEN tighten down the throttle slide assys.  If you look between 2 and 3 I can see your oring, it's not even in all the way.  Work out your spacing first.

If you unscrew 3 and 4 from the throttle rod does that change anything at all?

It really looks like you performed the order of operations incorrectly hence binding everything.  Surely you would have noticed 3 and 4 if they were binding just by inserting them in the bodies and testing up and down once or twice.

Screw the slides to the rod once you have all the bodies together (no orings showing!), then you can do the backplate this will mostly finalize spacing and get things right so you don't bind.  then you can do the front plate (yours looks bent!) THEN you can screw down the throttle slides.  Last do the butterflies.

It would be best if you started over as described above.
