'72 CB500 Throttle Cable Routing
« on: July 22, 2014, 03:43:23 PM »
I just replaced one of the throttle cables and I have managed to bugger up the routing.  The cables are too tight when turning right and I can feel it in the grip.  I think the cables ran under the left front rubber tank mount (when the tank is installed).  I appreciate any feedback.  Here are some pictures.  Thank you!

Cables should run behind everything; brake hose, clutch cable, etc. Route them behind the wiring harness rather than in front of it as shown in the pic.

No, it's the clutch cable that runs along the right side frame; the throttle cables route to the left side, then through the coil opening.
