Honda CB650z 1980 power graph & CDIs
« on: January 18, 2019, 07:46:55 PM »
Hello everyone, howdy!

I’ve been thinking about changing my CDIs for new units (old ones look pretty bad and banged), is there a place where I can get quality stuff?
I’ve been seeing generic stuff over the net, as long as my regular providers seem not to have OEM units.

Any idea?

On the other side, I’ve been told by some friends who are more used to Honda than me, that my bike should be showing a lot more of torque around 5000rpm.
Bike runs good but 8 agree it kinda feels flat when accelerating and and not able to pass over 120kph. Any has this engines power graph?

I’m not very familiar with these engines, so I ask the gurus here to bring me some light.

Thank you all in advance!

if the engines running otherwise fine and not miss firing or such id call the ignition modules ok,look at your air filter and carbs.

first easy check is air filter.   Then ignition advancer.  Then main jets.   The cdi will most of the time work or not work.
18 grand and 18 miles dont make you a biker
