My 72 year old uncle was mugged while walking his 2 dogs (silky terriers -little dogs), he KO'd 1 and held the other 1 till the cops arrived. He was brought up  during the depression in Richmond (one of the roughest suburbs in Melbourne). They picked on the wrong bloke.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight it's the.....
