Picked up 2 550 survivorish with VIDEO!
« on: September 20, 2014, 02:09:19 pm »
I have known of these 2 bikes since last year. The owner and I have been in talks and today we finally exchanged cash for the bikes. The seat on the K I will pick up Monday as the PO has it at his cabin. He also sold me 2 running CB160s that he is allowing me to keep at his property until I make room for them at my house. The K has 4199 original miles and the F has 12339. I have the turn signals that I need to put on since I removed the windjammer.

Good hunting Tews ;) Both bikes look like just put gas in the tanks and their ready to ride.  The 550 K I really like and soon as you get the factory seat back on it and get rid of that ugly thing that's on it now it will looking even better. Looks just like the one I had back in the day. Pipes look to be in good shape to.

Very nice Nick. That's the way to buy them as original as possible and obviously they have had some love and attention by the looks of them. Heck of a lot better deal in the long run than rusty old worked over clapped out missing part junkers with flat black paint and mice in the airbox  ;)  Good for you.
Save some for the rest of us   ;D    ;D  I kinda have your twin here when we ride off into the sunset together.

Congrats!  Can't believe you finally landed this deal, it's been a long time coming.

The condition is unbelievable.  The orange tank is a good candidate for Caswell sealer, get it on Amazon.

Keep your eyes open for a good pipe for the K, good ones pop up from time to time.

Thanks Stev-o. I will get the caswell. I wish I've done it before cause I do not want to ruin this tank.

No worries, Tews, there are some good write ups and it's pretty basic.
