New First Restoration
« on: September 13, 2014, 05:53:20 PM »
Hi, never been here before been looking through the site though and I knew I needed to sign up. So quick intro...
Names Euan stay in a small town near Glasgow. I work as a marine engineer although no knowledge of bikes really yet.
Steep learning curve ahead of me recently required a poorly covered, living in a backgarden, 1975 CB400F and this site clearly has a lot of knowledge on the subject.

So guess I'll be here for a bit

Here's a pic of the bike :)

Welcome to the forum Euan from North Carolina. You've got a project on your hands for sure but this is the place to hang out and get all the help and info to get it back on the road ;) Good luck and looking forward to seeing the finished project.

Bloody hell, did the rabbits eat the tank and the seat? For certain, a wee bit of work ahead, but you'll surely enjoy that little beauty when she's running.

A couple of really nice 400 build threads in here for you to gather some good info from. Welcome, and good luck on the vote next week!

Hey thanks, for the welcome actually have the tank and the seat was eaten by something along with the exhaust they had to go going to put a bit of lead solder on the back of the tank and should be good as new after a bit. Wish I took a photo of it before I got it though. That's clean compared to what it did look like.

Hi.

Drop in to www.sohc.co.uk and chat to the UK mob. There is bound to be someone close!

Use the same name so that we recognise you.

Steve

PS: I'm guessing that the photo was taken on your phone? It's a common problem with forum software in that the phone and editing software allows you to rotate the picture (in the viewer and on the screen) but the actual file is still upside down!) - seen it before...
