Yes the crank will fit but only 1979, 80 & 81 models, then it becomes a dohc. So bearing sizing isn't an impossible issue, but the 650 crank comes with greater stroke than the 550 so you'll need to use the 650 cylinder. The 650 uses a hyvo camchain so the 650 cam sprocket & chain will be needed. Because of the chain the top engine case needs machining to fit the 650 camchain guide and on & on. Do-able just not a drop in. Besides... if you go to this extreme I'm gonna tell.

The outfit I mentioned is in the Netherlands. I bought "C" bearings, received four and the rest were backordered but that just changed to NLA so that sucks. They likely will be produced again... hopefully but for now grab them wherever you can.
