Wow. I never would have guessed that was hiding under that paint! Makes me wonder what else is hiding in the motor!

Al the dents and pinholes have been repaired and its been sanded smooth and primered. Now all that's left is a new liner and I'll have it back to start putting the new petcock, fuel lines and rebuilt Carburetors back together

How did you repair the holes in the tank?

The pinholes on the bottom were cut out and a patch installed and welded. The crease in left front, suffered a tear out when the dent was pushed out due to rust-rot of the tank. Cut a patch and welded it in too. Ground everything smooth then used a teaspoon of bondo, sanded smooth, followed by Etching Epoxy primer (sanded between coats). Voilà

Nice!

...also filled the motor with Marvel Mystery oil from the top of the head down to the crank case to give the internals a bath.

The carb kits didn't come with new o-rings for these so I went down to the store and bought these viton o-rings that's suppose to be safe for fuel. I didn't know the exact size but these seem to look and fit right. The old ones were so old and worn they were flat and hard like plastic. We'll see how well these work.

Not that anyone is following this anymore but the o-rings are too big I guess. They won't slide in.

I'm not sure what kind of seat it is but its in really good shape new padding and leather and everything but someone on here already wants it when I'm ready to sell it. I'll let you know if he backs out though.
