fuel problem?
« on: September 30, 2006, 04:08:55 PM »
I've just started up a bike that had been sitting for about 6 months. If I roll on the throttle very gradually it runs ok, but if I jerk the throttle back at all it stumbles or cuts out altogether. If I'm going fast enough, after a few seconds it'll start running normally.

I cleaned the carbs out pretty good and added some marvel mystery oil to the tank. I've run through a little over a tank now. What's my problem?

Thanks.

Clogged Idle Jets and probably semi clogged main jets as well...

pull both lots and give them a clean... :)

recently purchased the bike or just had it laying about...??

I've had it sitting.  I just cleaned the jets but I'll do it again.  Thanks for the advice.
