« on: September 23, 2006, 04:30:18 PM »
Ok, I need to know....has the speed limit been upped in Texas or is this just another B.S. story from my brother-in-law?

peace,
michel

PS, If yes, does this new limit also apply in school zones?  ;D

Looks like it`s 70 mph in urban areas, 75 in sparsely populated areas and 80 on I10 and I20 in western Texas.
I lived in Dallas for a couple years and, believe me , nobody drives just the speed limit in Texas ;D

I've taken my SuperSport to 120 (once), it loves to run at 90-100 and'll do it all day (did that a couple times, too).

As we all know, it doesn't matter what the posted speed limit is, there will always be someone who wants to drive faster.. I always thought that the old Montana way of doing things was the best. Just tell people to go at a speed that is cautious and prudent and let the traffic police decide the issue.
