Bouncy rear after new tires
« on: September 25, 2014, 02:40:21 PM »
Replaced the front and rear tires after I got a flat on the rear.  After installation the rear seemed a little bouncy but I thought it might have been because the tires where a lot more aggressive then the previous tire. ( new tires are continental classic attack).  Spinning the rear wheel freely, It looks true and straight.     The bounce would smooth out at higher speed.  It also seems to be effecting the chain tension as its a little looser now and seems to bounce more.  Maybe the rim is bent from the flat I got?  Just going to have to take it back to the honda shop and rebalance them soon.

Make sure the tire beads are evenly seated along the rim on both sides.  Check the tires for balance.

I just mounted a new rear this last weekend and I had to deflate and inflate a couple of times and add some soap before the bead came in evenly on both sides of the tire.
