I am trying to decided if progressive front suspension springs for a Honda CB550 is actually worth the $100 upgrade. What are your thoughts? Will there be a noticeable difference in handling? Going for a cafe racer build. Thanks guys!

if you're talking about replacing the old original springs with new progressive ones, by all means do it. get new seals as well. i did the same and the difference was huge.

if you try to decide between new progressive springs and new OEM ones i don't know, haven't made the comparison.

I put them in my 73 750 and I like them.  I use 15w fork oil as the thinner oil doesnot control the fork very well.

If you want even better results, consider RaceTech Emulators with the correct rate springs from RT.
I have used them on Suzuki forks and I am very pleased with the result!
