Wow, I've been to the one in AZ.  Interesting reading, thanks Prokop, how's that new brewery beside you doing?

Time will tell, looks like teachers from my wife's HS adapted it as their Friday watering hole.

The brewery has the space for music concerts and yoga classes, I think they are well positioned to make it.

I'd think I would have been to at least one of them at some point, but not a chance. I'm sure I probably walked by the one on Kodiak.

I've been to the oldest bar in Texas, founded 1866.  It's near Downtown Austin, we go there before UT football games.

I've been to the Palace in Prescott, AZ. The article mentioned that the patrons saved the bar from the fire, but failed to mention that they dragged it across the street, in front of the Territorial courthouse, and resumed drinking while the town around them burned down. Some of the miners decided the best way to fight fire was with fire, and tried to Dynamite the burning wooden buildings out, but their efforts only caused the spread of the raging inferno. When the town was rebuilt, brick and mortar were preferred over wooden structures.

Well I thought I had been to the oldest bar in California.....the hotel in Coulterville but according to this list it isn't.
I'll have to ask around to find out where that info came from.

I never heard of  that, but what a great debauch! I spent a whole afternoon just hanging around the square in downtown Prescott with my dad one afternoon killing time. Maybe I went in there , surely I saw it.
