I was struggling to find a more polite way to express the same, well said Sam, thank you. I generally stay clear of the open forums, a terrible shame finding out the REAL people behind the incredibly skilled and helpful forum handles in the rest of the forum zones.

Jaysus Mary and holy St Joseph,

don't get me started on Irish catholic nuns - I could boil into a frenzy.

My Mom, who was a clever lass, once tackled one and called her a Belsen wardress. When I learned what that meant, my respect for my Mom soared.

Oops, sorry this is the humour (with an o) thread.

OK, A man walks into a bar and goes "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh"

It was an iron bar.

I went to a Roman Catholic school, that had two Irish nuns. They were like 'good cop, bad cop'. One was a lovely old dear who couldn't do enough for you, the other was a sour-faced, wicked evil b@tch who used to throw those heavy wooden blackboard rubbers at you if she saw you talking in class. She was a bloody good shot too ;D

We had the same in the Christian Brothers. Think Waffen SS but without the compassion and Christianity, and there you have them. We were regularly hit with a leather strap for fcuk all. One day, one of these Sturmbannführer types is up at the blackboard doing his pathetic best to educate us, and sort of naturally we came to mock his efforts. One guy laughed more than most, and the CB turned in a flash and threw the blackboard duster (a fairly hefty wooden affair with felt bits) straight at him, scoring a direct hit on his forehead. We could all hear this sort of hollow boney "thonk" sound, and the poor bugger was stunned, literally. So CB goes back to chalking on the board when all of a sudden a geometry dividers opened full (like with two metal points) hits the blackboard about one inch from the Anti Christ's hand. He was practically impaled on his own blackboard. We were all about 10 years old at the time, and realised there was a change in power ocurring. We never got hit again after that.
