Engine VIN decypher
« on: October 08, 2014, 07:48:29 AM »
This is a special construction bike so it doesn't have a frame VIN.
I was told by the seller, this engine came from a 1975 CB750 and the special construction was registered in 1977.

The engine VIN is: CB750E2507810
I have tried the NET and have gone to various sites, but all the sites seem not to list 25XXXXX numbers.

What year is this engine?

Thanks in advance folks.

 8)  You folks are correct.
Some hours of searching yielded the same answer.
Rear drum brakes and an engine VIN of 25XXXXX certainly had me puzzled.
That answers some questions and make part searching easier.

I have been reading some posts and learning a lot.

Thanks for the info and this site.
