I have 3 sets of the CBX Russ Collins exhaust these shown have new chrome ,never started it with them on , Picking up one other RC set from the Ceramic Coat shop this weekend , They are getting the aluminum coating polished , doing a Chrome Delete on this build ..my other 6 banger is overkill with chrome  ::) Only heard this bike once when purchased,,, Carbs were sitting for 12 years ..had to rebuild them..no surprise lol..42 hrs and 400 in parts , hoping to mount Triple 40 DCOE Webers in the future

I agree in the period correct resto. Sometimes what a machine has become is cooler than how it was delivered. I have a 750 drag bike and It's easier to let it be something else but it needs to be rebuilt as it was raced.

There is a big twin around here did 196hp on the dyno, and plenty of140 hp ones.
The first one has over 170ft lbs torque...more than my last car..

The old saying goes for me is there is always someone faster or will have more HP, Well i will step up on the soapbox when asked why i ride a Honda rice burner ? Simple RC Held the World Record for 12 years in Top fuel, And today 35 years later Larry McBride is Top fuel World Record holder..conclusion ? It Ain't No Hardley at the top of the food chain, My GL has 13 years and 33.000 miles Blown, and 500 mile days riding around the country, 144 rwhp=178 bhp . 130 lps torque ..these numbers are without Nitrous 50 hp added , sorry can't do a pull to give figures clutch will not hold . too many miles on it..winter project.. 100.000 mile warranty on the Magnacharger or 10 years ..looks like it surpassed the warranty ..Water cooled and driveshaft. Honda should have offered this option. Best Part ? My GL is a Sleeper . It has wiped the smile off many Honda haters . Can't see all the bling while at a stoplight next to some noisy V twinkie. my biggest threat is a GSXR or Busa's or even these Brit bikes are a pain in the A$$ to get around we have one here with a Blower sporting 320 hp  ;D

Hondaman this 1970 K1 is a nice vintage all original paint bike..He put a lot of money in this bike ..think he has around $ 2 K just in the original exhaust.. and the motor was done by Mrieck.. first class bike and he rides it alot !

After a 24 month restore It's ALIVE ! Started on first push on the button ,,Motor is Solid ! idles at 1000 rpm smooth and Throttle response is Snappy ! This was purchased with verbal parts list ..(not verified) only that it has a 1250 big bore with Mega cams and head port Kosmans wheels and hubs aluminum rear sprocket racing clutch Air shifter, ect, I pulled the carbs off and it dose have extensive Head port ,Pulled the Valve cover and is the cam also but did not pull the barrels to check the bore. Though i would fire it up and if it had issues the motor would then come apart,,Pulls HARD with the custom sprockets, Hard to keep the front end down ,,I can see the reason this short stock swingarm had struts and wheelie bar on it , Also when i stumbled a pone this Barn find and seen it had Russ Collins exhaust i stayed quite until we came up with a purchase price. Fells like it has 5- 1st gears and things happen real fast , I re-jetted up and it has no flat spot at all ! Dam Thing runs amazing for a early 1980's motor. Happy as $hit

Probably has a stage 3 dynojet kit in the carbs too Greg, those CV carbs hate pods stock and usually only run well with the stage 3 kit, its designed to run with pods, I'd also be tempted to run proper length rear shocks on the road too, with that much get up and go you want all the suspension you can get....  Looks great, need a video for that sublime sounding engine... ;)

Well better than the Struts lol. my thought was Unsprung weight savings, unlike a lot of builds i went the other way , Single piston brake calipers rebuilt front and rear no rear inner fender and light rear 11-1/2 rear shocks, Trying to keep this build to it's purpose Fast and Straight. with 60 ft times most important ..not a road racer , New head bearing with proper torque values makes this boy feel tight , The rear swingarm bushings were Toast ! went with Bronze and new wheel bearing front and rear with Double bearing on sprocket side makes for a nice stiff rear end now also..feels good and solid .been out the last 2 days and buzzed it up to around 100 mph with my Full gear on lol, Gets there real fast

Yep it does have the dynojet needles in it. stepped up the Slow jet one step and 120 main also, The pressed slow jets it had were clogged when pulled , replaced all new and one slide was sticking replaced it , Accelerator pump nozzles were also not working , All rubber is replaced with Vitron for this damn Ethanol..I have built motors that were not as much of a challenge as the CBX carb rebuild LOL, Shocks are set on the highest Preload . I would not ride 2 up for sure, Front wheel is 18" and fork is dropped One inch so dropped 1 1/2 from stock 19 inch front wheel, and 3 inches the rear with Widened Kosman wheel
