just made it home and rolled out of the van..it is completely disassembled now ,,decided to leave the Vintage Drag bike theme and stay with the Spoke rims...No body else has them on the CBX lots of work to do this conversion, need to find some 12" Koni or Progressive shocks to keep the stance and save my A$$ ..going with the Platinum silver year appropriate paint and motor will be Black and chrome, Ceramic coat the RC headpipe and Re-chrome the RC muffler so to eliminate the Blue pipe curse ALL CBX have..adding the right side disk on also to stop this wild thing  :o

I would suggest getting the valve cover ceramic coated also. I did on mine, fantastic.

Great find.

been a slow build..Parts are expensive for these, has Russ Collins big bore , putting this back on street was my goal, needed speedometer and added the front disk back on also, Kosman wheels hubs aluminum rear sprocket , RC exhaust also , bike had all the good stuff back in the day..Air shift is staying on with bottle, glad i have some other bikes to ride so i can have the patience needed to make this eye candie ! have too many projects going on now but i do spend a couple hrs weekly on this, Just got the exhaust mounted and re-chromed. thanks for the look !

I love the CBX, why keep the airshifter Greg.? These old girls are heavy enough, besides, the CBX had a nice slick box , the air shift is pure drag race and definitely not needed on the street.... ;)

Retro, this has a Nitrous setup going on also, 2 bottles aluminum one on each side, Air shifter is going to be functional but with quick release and able to move aside but stay attached to mount..LOL i hear ya on the street vs all out strip question ,my goal was to keep the heritage of this bike  and make a Pro street bike,My goal is always be much different than mainstream anything, Most of the life of this bike was on the 1/4 mile..none of my bikes are Trailer queens, i ride them to all the events, and if i put them in a show is for secured parking only for 10 bucks entry fee ..wipe them down next to the trailer queens and enjoy my ride home through the country with a Trophy passing and waving to all of them in their PU's,, btw Air shifter hooked up could be a little touchy in traffic  ;D

Agreed!  And that RC exhaust looks great, I like how it follows the angle of the bracket.
