Ebay and duty

Just bought a front fender on ebay for $250 and was automatically charged $33 duty. Is ebay doing this now for all cross border purchases? This was a used fender if that makes a difference.

Prospect, no duty on motorcycles or motorcycle parts to Canada. Customs can charge HST at the border, or perhaps they added a "handling" charge.

I just checked and I was charged $41.84 Canadian dollars. Classified as Import Charges.
Looks like Global shipping program.
I had no choice but to use it. Don't need it if you ask me.
