Thank you for providing the dimensions; that's very helpful. I'm going to try & source them locally. Since the senior project presentations start in 3 weeks, we're trying desperately to get this thing cranked. Also, I would really hate to have to order another $100 or so more of carb rebuild kits just for 4 tiny washers that probably cost 15 cents each.

Logan and I will probably need to come over tomorrow night anyway. Need a new horn and I forgot to look to see if you had a gas tank lock the other night. If I can't find the little washers, we'll need those as well.

Thanks, guys. It's not flawless but I think he did well.

There's some orange peel effect in the paint but we weighed the option of trying to wet sand it out before clear coating it and decided not to risk it since we're just going for a 6-foot bike anyway (looks good at 6 feet!

Now, we just have to finish trying to get the carbs back onto the rack tonight and then chase down some electrical issues.

Looks like you did a great job with the paint!!! Sounds like it is going to be a busy time in Atlanta. Trey is showing up at Bill's to kick off the latest version of Calender Girl and I have no doubts you and Logan are going to hear your project sing this week also. Damn I should have come up this weekend instead of last. Good luck finishing it up, and thanks for the help on Saturday.

Last photos before we try & start it. Carbs are back together but still have to put them in the racks and put them on the bike. And we still have some electrical issues to deal with.

You do realize that you've used sidecover emblems from a 77? Both the 77 and the 78 emblems were unique and the 78 emblems look like this:

But that is picking nits, and is something that can be addressed later, or not at all and enjoyed as is.

Member FrankenFrankenstuff has been making some badges, but I don't think he's done the 78' badges yet. The only other place I've seen them (other than used) are a little pricey, used to be available here:
