Introduction
« on: October 08, 2014, 07:41:26 AM »
I have owned this Honda since 1993.
It is a Special Construction originally tagged in 1977.
I was told the SOHC 750cc engine is from a 1975 CB but I am unable to verify that with the engine VIN.

My daily commute is a 1984 Honda Goldwing, a GL1200 Interstate with 144,000 miles.

Since 1984, I have owned over 35 motorcycles.
Most came to me not road worthy.  Three left as parts bikes and one left as I bought it, in a basket.

I like to tinker........ it relaxes me.

Thanks for the site and the opportunity to learn and share.

I have replaced the original points, clutch and starter covers with finned, aluminum covers.  The post also shows a set of ten-spoke Invader rims (19" front and 15" rear) I am working on and a set of ones-to-ones I am also considering.  The frame is a Santee Soft-Tail, with a Santee oil/battery box, and Santee electrical and coil boxes.  Air filter is Henry-Abe as is the finned tappet covers.  The king-queen seat is made by Cheetah.  I found an incomplete set of Daniel-Boone forward controls on EBay and researched what I needed to make the set complete, then installed them.  The bike came with one Lucas Rectangular 8 with a smooth lens.  I found and added the fluted version to be used as low beam, the smooth is high beam.  I have a pair of Aris Triangular lights I will be installing.  The gas tank looks like a Mustang, but I haven't been able to confirm that.  Also in the wings is a Frisco styled Peanut gas tank.

Pun intended........ it has been a wild ride since I have owned it.

BTW, the engine is a 1975 F
