That's what I wondered one day.  Can you just run those guys down and buy tools out of the trucks?

I've done it once but did frequent the shop that the Snap-On guy dealt a few times...I'm not sure I had to... I guess those tool guys are nervous and I don't blame them because they carry lot's of $'s worth of tools

Thanks guy, I'm trying to get the specific one for the Kowa brand timing light & it fit's into the handle-very compact.

Still hoping to find a new lead wire to fix my wonderful Kowa Seiki mod.# KE-50-7 'synchro beam' timing light..  The best light I ever owned.  8)

Mazda dealers used to supply them through their parts depts. and some Subaru dealers.
I bought mine in the 90's.I want to have someone install a new pick-up lead wire,a longger one.
I stretched this little coiled-up wire too far. Help ! !

Still looking for a Kowa Seiki #KE-50-7

Edit:This catalog was what I received from a salesman at K&L in 98' when I had my repair shop in MA.I Wish they were still there ! China has been flooding the market..

I suppose I'm spoiled.. After going from The KE-50-7 'Gem' down to barely being able to see with a vintage Sears heavy metal one that is just a bit brighter than an 'old school' flashlight. I should try to find an electronics repairman who cares.

A model like the Kowa is clearly the one I'd prefer. Self powered so less leads, so less chance of damaging an unnoticed dangling lead with the inductive clamp at its end. The latter part is usually the cause of malfunction, it is easily damaged by impact and it doesn't take much...
BTW, I suppose I do not have to inform you on polarity, do I? Nah, not you.
