Hey man did your rearsets screw in the factory passenger holes? Mine don't seem to work... looks like I have to drill them out for them to work.

Yes, they slid right in. No issues what so ever. I don't have a bit big enough for the passenger pegs, so there wouldn't really be a way for me to drill them out either way...

Hold on, mine aren't screwed into the passenger peg. They are just using that hole. They are bolted on.

one more ?    Did you have to use the rear brake return spring?

That's funny you ask. No the brake just returns on its own...I never really though of that. I just took it all off and said what ever...here's a photo of that. I'm not sure if you can see it or not...

sweet I thought it would stick or drag. I could use my mounts by cutting off the rear brake spline like it says ( cognito mount with tarozzi) ... just thought I had to run the return spring..

When you say "rear brake spline" what do you mean?

the spline where the factory brake pedal slides onto, to engage the rear brake. that piece needs to be removed to bolt on mounting bracket

Oh yea, totally. take that off. I've basically removed everything stock. Besides the engine/frame and brakes.

Easy. Removing that eliminates the "reversing cam". I notice your rear brake is set up to "pull" not "push" Revive. That's because the splined cam not there any longer. If it were, you'd push down with your toe, the rod would actuate the lever forward, the cam would then pull the rear brake arm, the way it is designed. Also, without a return spring, you run the risk of the brake not releasing.

Your installation will work, but it is not advisable nor imbued with safety measures.

I removed my spline cam too on one bike, but then had to fabricate a solution for the brake arm. I would not recommend this modification for drum brakes.

You are correct. Cognito Moto actually makes an adapter for the spline.

Here it is.

Yes, but the downside is that its 42 dollars + shipping. And To be fully honest I don't use my rear brake nearly as much as I probably should. In the motorcycle safety class they teach you like 70% front 30% back. But really I am 80% front 10% engine braking and maybe 10% rear brake if I remember to use it. I don't honestly ride hard enough or long enough/far enough to really be using my back brake a ton. So it's there, and it works, but probably not as good as it could work.

I have the spline piece, but then I need my mount on frame, to use the cognito mounts It requires the spline to be cut off... I just don't get it lol

im just pissed for $75 to buy a "bolt on" mount that requires a decent amount of fabrication.  They could of made it to go around the spline like the 750

I understand, it says its for the F but required removal of brake spline,... thought it meant the slide in part not cutting it off frame lol

I just got my electronic ignition in the mail. I'm heading out to Joshua Tree tonight to go rock climbing and hang out in the desert. When we get back Saturday afternoon my plan is to install it, and recheck the entire electrical system for issues. Hopefully my over-charging issue will be resolved.

Yea, I mean I'm just going to follow the instructions. I'll timelapse the video and see how it goes. I'm thinking about doing it tonight. Although, I don't have a garage I do have some lights and a side yard...I'll let you all know how it goes.

Thank You! This helped me out a lot!

Worked on the bike. Installed the ignition and i statically timed it. Took a little longer than I expected(2.5 hours instead of 1 hour) but overall pretty good! Excited to have this in my bike. Next step is dyna coils.
