Does anyone make new pistons in this size?  Largest I have seen is 71.25.

Might be worth a shot to call mtc directly. I think some of the team talked to them at a race and they stated there might be some old sohc pistons on a shelf. Unsure if anyone followed up with them.

MTC did have some NOS Honda 4 Big Bore pistons several years ago.
They would be worth a try.
Back then (5/6 years ago) I purchased a set of 72mm from them and they supplied a set of Total Seal rings to suit.

If I was you
I'd be worried about me.

I did ask Doctor Mike if he would be kind enough to perform some Stage 4 surgery on this docile cylinder head and this is his achievement.
Not a bad result for a young fella, even if I say so myself.  ;D

I heard back from MTC today and they do still have some pistons for the sohc sitting on the shelf.  They are going to check what sizes and what compression ratios they have and get back to me.

Thats great. I might need to get a spare or two myself but only after you get yours.

How did you go mate?
I remember that they had some 8/1 or thereabout turbo pistons when I spoke with them and a few other N/A sizes.
Mike was saying that the MTC pistons have a bit of taper built into them.

Thought I would update.  I bought two sets of 72mm 12.5 to 1 pistons from MTC.   They said they still have some 71mm and 72mm in 10.5 and 12.5 to 1 and some 73mm but low compression for turbo use.  Eric at MTC was very helpful so if anyone is looking for any get in contact with him.
