New member model identification
« on: October 06, 2014, 01:34:13 AM »
Hi There, I am a new member from The UK and I have just purchased a 1978 550f. All the references I have looked at so far don't show my model. It has a yellow tank and side panels which I need to have refurbished. I am having trouble finding decals as they only seem to have a raised Honda badge and mine is a stick on type can anyone help. I also assume that the mechanical parts are the same as the 1977 f

Welcome from Texas.

There was not a '78 550 F model, you most likely have a 550 K model.
Look here for more info....

Check your serial numbers to confirm your frame and engine model year.

It's quite possible that you have a '78 as they sold alongside the K3 in the UK for a while.

Pop over to www.sohc.co.uk and chat to the UK guys.

There'll be someone in your area for sure!

Use the same username so that we recognise you.

Thanks for the response guys. I think I have a 1977 registered in 78 with a 400 four paint lookalike job.
