Ok, so I got the bearing retainer off with no problem.  Now, how am I going to remove the two bearings?  Once I get one out, the other should come out easily - it's getting the first one out.  I don't want to beat the crap out of it.

I ordered the left side from Honda but the other is no longer available.  The unavailable bearing is stamped "NTN 6305LU".  Do you know where I can get one?

Thanks, Jim

any of the online retailers. All balls makes a set. Dime City Cycles has a set (probably all balls brand bearings that they resell) as well as david silver spares, parts zilla... many online retailers to choose from.

Bump.  I'm dying here.  Tried heat, pounding and air chisel.  Won't budge.  What next?

Use a bearing puller

Are there different types of pullers?  Are you referring to one that would expand inside the bearing and then pull it out?

Thanks

Good news - I got the bearings out with using the heat and beat method.  However, the victory was short lived.  I managed to destroy the collar/spacer (Honda part number 42625-283-000) which fits inside the larger bearing.

Any fellow members have one they would be willing to part with?

Thanks, Jim
