don't forget... there are 3 steps to the nomination process.

1. nominate (no self nominations please)
2. nomination second from another member
3. acceptance of nomination from nominated member/bike

i'll start off by nominating a bike that is a daily driver and an excellent example of a resto/cafe job.

I'd like to nominate 6pkrunner and last time, I finally got the picture posted with heffay's help. I'm having some trouble with my pc at the moment and can't seem to do it. Could somebody do me a favor and post the picture from last months nomination tread for me? I'd sure appreciate it, as I really want to do this. 6pk's F3 is really a fine example of the vintage Hondas and of the "F" models as well. Thanks, Bill

Aw shucks, thanks Heff! I'll accept, even though I don't think mine has much of a chance up against some of these other nominations. Now if we had a competition for reliability and mechanical condition, that would be a different story!

well, then... let me attest to gordons 750 being reliable and mechanically sound. when i complain that my 350 makes noise and do nothing about it gordon is the man that takes his motorcycles apart because they aren't making noise. he likes to get those stock noises back out where we can hear them

that's what makes these machines run best!
when i wuss out and bring my "other" bike out to vintage bike night gordon is the one that always brings the old school.
that gordon... he sure is one rusted nut.

but guess what gordo... the 350 is scratching at the garage door and we'll be there on thursday!

Fellas - thanks. I gladly accept the nomination, second, and comments.

This was a fun project and the bik is everything I hoped it would be. The 836 conversion is awesome and the bike handles the added muscle like it was naturally made for it. These old bikes are a part of my past, a history I remember very well.

I admire all of you who are willing to have, keep, and maintain 30+ year old machines in running order. This was my 1st CB750 and ownership took place in May of this year - I don't know what took me so long, but this won't get away from me. I intend to keep it as long as I have bikes. It's been a pleasant experience and what they say is true - "you meet the nicest people on a Honda".

Again thanks for all of the comments. There will not be a loser as these reward us every day with pieces of motorcycling history.

I accpet the nomination for the BOTM poll. Indeed an honour. However, looking at the previous page's entrants - wow! There is some stunning machinery owned by people on this board. Amazing to see so many have a such a keen interest in the old SOHC veterans. Just more proof they really did change the world.
