I spotted these bikes in the back of a truck, at a gas station in Tehachapi CA today...

I had a Hercules, with a Sachs motor like in the red bike...
Sachs supplied the motor to at least 6 makes.

Looks like Ceriani forks on the red one..

Did you happen to talk to the owner ? Be curious as to the back story on them, just bought or are they riders that he uses.

The Mazzilli had a 125 Sachs, and the Herc had an 85cc(??) Sachs. I had forgotten about the concentric shifter/kick-starter shafts. One of my buddies had a Sachs Cross Country back in the day, and he often traded bikes because my C200 was good for practicing balance wheelies. ;D
I talked to the owner's buddy; all he knew was that it was Italian, and from the '70s. As far as being riders, look at the fresh mud in the pic of the engine. ;) They were on their way back to San Jose from some big trials event in OK or AR(?). The guy I talked to mentioned they had a few more bikes in the enclosed trailer they were towing, and opened the side door to give me a peak at a couple of Pentons and a BSA 441 Victor "Grand Prix"?? It had the oil tank in the upper frame tube, which I've only seen on one other Beezer.
