K1 750 ignition issues??
« on: October 13, 2014, 03:56:31 PM »
My 750 is fouling all 4 plugs, leaving a sooty residue on the plugs.since i havent messed with the carbs,im guessing its ignition related.ive tried testing the coils resistance per instructions i found on google.keep in mind im using coils off a early 80's kaw,i get 2.5 ohms of primary resistance but cant get anything on the secondary side which i find odd,i can only guess im doing something wrong but what,i have no idea.also,i cant seem to find specs and a testing procedure to test the plug caps.any ideas guys?thanks

Plug caps are easy take them off and measure the inside electrode to the place where the wire goes in. Mine are supposed to be 5k with non resistor plugs
