Where does this O-Ring go? Rear Hub 1972 CB500
« on: October 17, 2014, 09:40:55 AM »
Not sure if this O-ring goes on before or after the sprocket.  Looking at the parts diagram, it looks like the sprocket goes on first, then the o-ring.  Just want to make sure.

Thanks!

Thanks but your attachment is too small to read.  It is #22 in the photo I have attached.

The sprocket must sit flat against the hub, which it may not do if the O ring is underneath it.  I'm virtually 100% sure the O ring goes on after the sprocket, and acts as a seal between the sprocket and the plate (item 2 in your diagram).

Agreed.  I found a photo on Sohoron's build thread where the o-ring goes on after the sprocket.

Thanks!
