Thanks for the offers of parts, I think I'll order from Yamiya, due to lazyness. I'm leaning towards a black headlight with a parking lamp and the new right control that has off/park/on. That's as trick as it needs to be.

The chrome bucket with the Marschall headlight is tempting though.

I got a black one from DSS. I did notice Yamiya has the Marshcal with a black one included also.

Has anyone seen a 400F with a Honda emblem under the headlight? Yamiya sells one and I was wondering if it's just an accessory or if Japanese domestic or European bikes came with them? I snagged a cheap one for a 650 that looks like the one listed and if I remove a cable clip it should bolt on easily.
I'll try one on for size, the area under the headlight looks busy, maybe the emblem would clean the appearance up a little. Or it might look more busy we'll see.

I reread this thread, the little bikes seem to come and go a lot. For me it's the thread of sellers remorse but I really know I can't keep them all. I should have kept that yellow 77 though. I intend to sell this one too, we'll see.

It must be an accessory then. Thanks. In Japan they seem to like a lot of bolt on accessories, maybe that's why Yamiya lists it.

This was a full rebuild of the entire bike including the motor and every component and part replaced or refreshed along with a few hundred hours of labour in the restoration. It will be sold in the spring, as I have other bikes that I prefer to ride and enjoy.

How much will you sell it for? Looks amazing. I hope to done day do a very nice restoration of my bike as well.

Well, I just said the heck with it and put the petcock in the tank, installed it back on the bike, put some gas in it.

Fired her up for the first time in a few years, with the new pipes, and she seems to run ok.

I wanted to paint the tank and side covers before putting everything back together.

Partially burned in a fire but apparently a runner. Winter resurrection will be underway soon. Going to do a slight ratty brat build and keep most of the patina.

Sell me a scruffy blue side cover please! RH side with tabs. Ok with scratches, fades or scuffs so it matches.

Wow! That is nuts. Good luck with your build. I think the tank looks great as is. I have a similar one that's going on my friend's build.

I might take the headlight and bracket off your hands if they are salvageable. I also have a patina'd black side cover I could sell/trade, but no blue. Sorry!

I'll be keeping the rusty bucket for the headlight as it is salvageable. Just heat damaged. I'll keep you in mind on the side cover. Maybe PM me a pic so I have it as reference. Black is closer to blue than yellow!

Wow, it's crazy the gas tank didn't boil and light off. Good luck with getting it going, should be fun. It appears most of the rubber will need attention, be careful about the brakes. I've posted before, similar year cb360 front end parts are the same and cheaper than 400 parts.
