Groovy,thanks

La Quinta is THE place to be, be seen and rub elbows. Good breakfast and gratis happy hour. Restaurants and Hooters right there. Other less expensive places close by across the road and also closer to the track.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Brings up 2 good questions:

1. Where we gonna stay in Memphis?

2. Where we gonna stay in Rockingham?

Fukn Graceland baby! Hunka hunka burning luv!

Gotta figure out the logistics from Colorado. Atlanta is REAL easy for me, not sure about these two.

Haha I was hoping Billy would figure that out  ;D

Hopefully they have La Quinta or Best western

And like Jerry mentioned the La Quinta in Valdosta is about 20 miles from the track in Cecil,GA

One suggestion, do not stay in Rockingham. Get a room north of the track in Aberdeen. Can't recommend any place in Memphis at the moment. Got a call in to a few friends that have been there so I can get insight on a few good places to stay. Don't count me out yet with the Sohc, I'm working an angle for the bike to hitch a ride to all the races in a friends trailer.

The Manufacturers themselves will select the best hotels to stay at at the two new venues and will then arrange discounts for competitors and teams. It may be a bit early for this just yet but once it's announced, it's up to you to ask for the discounts when you book by telling the hotel that you are with the Manufacturers Cup people.

The Millington Inn in Millington was the headquarters for the IDBA FINALS races and gave the racers a great price on rooms.  You do know that the race is in that town and not MEMPHIS [ YOU GO TO TOWN ON SATURDAY NIGHT FOR BEALE ST. ] ABOUT 22 MILES SOUTH.  Word to the wise MEMPHIS had some bike thieves at the track in the old dayz, seen GS1150'S and BUSA'S taken, er er ROCKINGHAM was bad about thefts too. Aberdeen is the place to stay at the ROCK.
You have not seen the BEST until you go to NORWALK RACEWAY PARK in OHIO why do you thinK the BIG NHRA move their OHIO RACE TO THE IHRA TRACK at NORWALK ????
The BADDER'S were the head of IHRA RACING and own this fine track = ask JOHN FORCE !!!!! Hell lets go to Z-MAX and have a 4 lane bracket race for motorcycles [ I could see three rabbits trying to chase down my turtle ]

I'm bumping up an old thread.. This ol girl has been sitting in the back of the garage watching silently while a number of other projects have came and went. I found a little time to get it closer to being finished and decided it is going to the track today. The "Super Mega Cobra Python" engine sounds pretty good. I don't expect to rotate the earth, but it will get some long over due shake down passes. :)

The KZ got to see the sun today as well, She had to get her picture taken also.. ;D

I made 4 passes on old Blue tonight, The best and final pass it jumped out of second gear killing the chance of any kind of decent ET.  It went a 1.73 60 foot with a very slow 1/8 ET and MPH, still managing a 12.64 for the 1/4.

The engine is a Turd, at least in its current state of tune. Good thing I only gave $500 for it. My Cruzin image 836 on the "Barn Build" Auto pulls harder , revs higher and flat makes more power period.  ;D

TURBO: Those KZ motors are the killers the rising sun built to beat down the HONDA in the early 1970's and today those same blocks are winning rounds [ GOT BRUCE ] ?????. In 1999 Suzuki gave birth to the BUSA and that has been the game 227 MPH at Valdosta. I got a KZ GIFTS for the boy from TEXAS [TREY] and his eyes will open wide. He better bring his trailer = empty!!

FRANK: I'm leaving you and your wonderful wife [ who gets down on her knees and watches you stage saw that on TV and in person  ] the money and the house = that way you can come NORTH and deal with these " GOT BRUCE " bikes that Bruce Sauer [ Many times NATIONAL CHAMPION ] builds and we have to race weekly. Better bring a box bike with everthing  STAR, SCHNITZ, FBG, DYNA, MTC and MPS sells.
TURBO: When your done playing with the Hondamatic and having it run the numbers we could trade for a [  bikes, frames ,KZ gears, MSD box, DYN coils, bars, wheels, stutter box, swing arms,  2- KZ motors OEM like new sitting in custom made wood stands = no dings or scratches. I have a NEW IN THE BOX STAR RACING SIDEWINDER THAT HAS BEEN IN THE BOX AND WRAPPED FOR YEARS, he George quit making this pipe years ago and would be a prize pipe for a restored KZ = WORTH BIG BUCKS......... Carbs, flatslides, round slides, 29's like new, stock KZ - HONDA CV'S

On some wishful thinking (and too good of a day to pass up) I went back to the track with this bike. It is skipping out of second gear and generally not the best shifting. My question is. Who do I contact for a back cut trans on these Honda's?
