Little update. I got some time today to work on this latest project, after some time away from it. I dug out a old bike I had stored and now I have the engine ready to remove and rebuild.

Don't need one for a Cup event. You can go 6's and they don't care.

Bill I would like to make it down at some point, I will have my hand full up here with bikes and cars for a while.

Frank if I can find one of those 1.42 60's, it might happen. Lol

Jon it won't be the first time I was parked for the night or asked not to come back until changes were made. hehe

I am now working plumbing, wiring, brakes etc.

QUESTION
Does anyone know thread is used on the sending unit??? It appears to be a metric taper (pipe) thread.

I have pitch gauges that tell you in a minute what type thread you have, but no special gauge for the nuts and bolts on a 1955 Triumph T110 as they were not metric [ special wrenchs ] and taps, cost me $25 to have a banjo nut for oiler made in 1972. = 1 nut

Some foreign made pipe threads are the same pitch but have no taper. Not sure if that's the case here. Oil sender? It seems tight to me. I put it back stock but one of mine did have a thread x compression adapter in it for a gauge,.
