All right, here we go! Speaking of Ashtyn, we had to pull up a picture of Sam with the Hooter's crew to convince her it was a "Tradition" (she was actually in the picture with Sam!). Whatever they're paying her it's nowhere near enough! Since Sam couldn't be here, Russ reluctantly agreed to fill in (Ashtyn is on Russ's left arm):
Saturday morning qualifying revealed transmission woes with the Cobra motor. This meant
yet another engine swap for Calendar Girl, which also involved swapping the valve train from the Cobra motor into the 915 provided the oil restriction to the top end of 1/2 on the 915 could be cleared. Work began about 11:00 A.M. Saturday and Calendar Girl was finally re-fired at 2:30 A.M. on
Sunday. Here we see the Cobra motor on its way into the O.R.:
Big Jay and Mark enjoying the show...
From a safe distance!
Larry taking his turn offering Trey some moral support. Trey worked nonstop ALL WEEKEND to try and get his bike fired. Trey is one of the most determined persons I've ever met:
Russ and Jerry likely mulling over the odds of whether Calendar Girl will see the track again this weekend. I think I overheard some talk of starting a pool...
Keith and Frank who I believe were also discussing odds...
Mike made it down for the festivities:
Calendar Girl back in the lanes on Sunday!
Hot Damn! Here we go!
Head slap! Gotta let that last yellow burn out!
Pops workin' his magic:
And finally, a couple of big dogs:
Hopefully we'll get to add pictures of more members at the next one! There was certainly plenty of entertainment, and rarely a dull moment.
Be there or be square!
